Mechanical pencils!
Remember those? It’s been way, way too long for me. They used to be my go-to for animation clean-ups in college. These days I’m finding they ‘re super fun to smudge and build on. Washes work okay with them too, but I’d probably need to load my waterbrush with a pre-made deluded ink mix rather than add touches of Tombow marker and melting it on the page…
